India has the fifth largest power generation portfolio in the world. Economic growth, increasing prosperity, a growing rate of urbanization and rising per capita energy consumption has led to increased demand for energy in the country. To meet its ever-growing demand for energy, Govt. of India’s has set out an ambitious target of 175 GW of renewable power by 2022.On the other hand, Germany with a stated Government policy to draw a new course towards creating sustainable and qualitative growth, is well poised to take lead in both technology and trade in Renewable Energy sector.The purpose of this proposed Seminar therefore, is to gain a valuable insight into the best practices followed in Germany in renewable energy sector and to provide a Platform to exchange ideas to investors keen to tap into India’s renewable energy potential.
